Whiplash claims

Whiplash is a painful condition which is fairly common amongst people who have been involved in a road traffic accident. It is typically a soft tissue injury to the neck, shoulders or back, caused by the rapid acceleration or deceleration of the neck and head as the result of a collision. The symptoms can last for a few days, several months or sometimes years.

You may not feel symptoms immediately after the accident, and whiplash symptoms can often develop within a few days of the accident. The symptoms are usually a dull ache at the back of the neck, across the shoulders and can be lower down the back. There is often stiffness of movement and a feeling of tightening of the muscles. Headaches can also be a symptom of a whiplash injury.

In most cases a complete or near complete recovery will be made, however some people will suffer longer term problems.
