Compensation goes towards vital cognitive behavioural therapy
Our client was attempting to cross a road when a black cab collided with her after allegedly cutting a corner.
Liability for the accident was disputed by the defendant and we had to commence court proceedings. Finally, thanks to the hard work of Irwin Mitchell solicitors, liability was agreed on a 50/50 basis and our client received £2600 in compensation.
This money went towards private Cognitive Behavioural Therapy to help her with the psychological after-effects of the incident. Unfortunately Cognitive Behavioural Therapy is not currently readily available on the NHS and so the compensation recovered in this case enabled our client to receive important treatment that might not otherwise have been so accessible for her.
